Plas Newydd cottage is ideally situated in a central location, perfect for touring and exploring North Wales. Information leaflets are provided for you to browse at your leisure.

Bala (25 min's): for rafting, sailing, canoeing, wind surfing, fishing, picnic at the lake, and public swimming pool.
Betws y coed (35 min's): mountain biking, climbing, railway, eating out.
Ruthin (10 min's): Castle, medieval buildings, eating out, shopping.
Portmeirion (approximately 55 min's).
Bodnant Gardens (approximately 45 min's).
Llangollen (20 min's): Canoeing, Canal boat trips, Railway and excellent eating places.
Other places of interest Chester (55 min's), Carrog (10min's) catch the steam train to Llangollen.
Stunning North Wales Coastal scenery within an hour's drive.

How to find us

From Ruthin

Leaving Ruthin on the A494, head towards Corwen.
Entering Bryn Saith Marchog after approximately 8 miles take the right hand turning opposite the service station/garage
The road narrows to a lane - follow the lane round to the left past The Smithy.
At the top of the hill turn right
Cross the river Clwyd and continue up the hill.
Follow the road to the left and continue until the village of Derwen (approximately 1mile).
With St Mary's church on the right, turn left at the telephone box (signposted dead end)
After the fourth house on the left follow the private driveway until you reach the cottage.

From Corwen

Leaving Corwen on the A494, head towards Ruthin.
Entering Bryn Saith Marchog after approximately 5.5 miles take the left hand turning opposite the service station/garage
The road narrows to a lane - follow the lane round to the left past The Smithy.
At the top of the hill turn right
Cross the river Clwyd and continue up the hill.
Follow the road to the left and continue until the village of Derwen (approximately 1mile).
With St Mary's church on the right, turn left at the telephone box (signposted dead end)
After the fourth house on the left follow the private driveway until you reach the cottage.
